| KHU images illustrate constellations and star positions, as in Act 1. MAP of LIGHT shows the Northern late January sky with URSA MAJOR, CANCER, CANIS MAJOR and CANOPUS along one horizon, the tail of the SWAN, the WINGED HORSE, PISCES, the SEA LIZARD and the PHOENIX on the other. |

HORUS:
The fires of the ageless stars are the same colors as the flowers of the Earth. By the Law of Seven in the strings of the Harp, the stars that are birthed from white are violet, lapis, aqua, green, yellow, orange and red. When a star is born, it blazes pure white, the union of all colors, from the will of the One Creator, and when the incandescent new star feels the cold and dark of space, it cries in flaming tears of light, and sends out the seed of new stars to be born. In birth and the blaze of youth, when the star is white, it has the fullest, most abundant power it will ever have. As the star ages, it changes from white to violet, and gradually becomes the energy of Wisdom. The sexual pole of the star changes from Goddess to God, and is associated with the crown chakra of the body.

I wonder which of the Neters here this evening
may have made his library available to you. I can't imagine who might
have helped him with this, Thoth, can you?
| THOTH:
It's a mystery to me, Your Majesty.
| New KHU images appear of PISCES, ARIES etc. as HORUS mentions them. |

HORUS:
Indeed. I could repeat if you like the essence of this map. I could resing what you already know. With the help of Thoth and others, I have received the ethical and spiritual codes of all these symbols, reading from the Fish on this side through the Ram, the Bull, who is also the Cow, the Twins and the Crab on this side in the Wheel of 12 Signs. The conflicts and the alliances

are obvious in the Hunter facing the
Bull, who is also the Cow, and the Knight of the Mirror
between the Charioteer and the Winged Horse, looking here at
the Sea Lizard. I propose that we consider these two questions: What should the future King of Egypt do later,
when the realm is at peace and his to oversee, and what do

we do now to fight Set, and beat him? For
the first time, and with the deepest regret for what must
happen here in this density sooner or later, I ask you
to view the Map of Light tonight for the first time as a map
for the defense of the realm.
ANUBIS:
A fighting map. |
ISIS:
No. (NEPHTHYS also recoils. MA'AT looks
away. Pause.)
THOTH:
It must happen.
ISIS:
Not yet. Horus, you are still so young.
HORUS:
Lady,
the time has nearly come. We must be
ready. (Long
Pause.)
ISIS:
Ma'at?

| MA'AT:
It must come. When the king next door wants to kill our king
--
| ISIS:
Once we do this, we teach
the Humans to organize death. Millions of them will die. You
can't
see it?
| ANUBIS:
I smell it. Smoke. Metal and leather.
MA'AT:
We all see it.
| THOTH:
The word
is coming. And all the other words I
know can't convey my distaste. I must be the first to pronounce the name of
. . . war.
NEPHTHYS doubles over, as though nauseous. Other
NETERS sicken as well. Grating, metallic SFX. Long Pause.
| ISIS:
Well, ah, General Horus, proceed. Do we get
bronze hats?
| HORUS:
Only in Set's army, which would be delighted
to have two officers as strong, as resourceful and as stunning as you
two, especially the lady in lapis and white jade. Your Majesty,
you and the Lady Nephthys could entertain Set's troops
with a shimmy so exciting it would shiver the walls of Megiddo.
| ISIS:
The nerve.
| THOTH:
If Ma'at were not the joy and the jewel
of my eye, then my head would surely be turning more often in your direction, your Majesty.
Some energies need to be told this more than once. If you have
chosen beauty, you don't have all eternity to
get comfortable with it. It is a fact that you and Lady Nephthys
could do a dance so exciting that if enough of Set's men were
watching you from the ramparts at Megiddo, the walls could fibrillate
and fall. We use what we have.
| ISIS:
Since when has Megiddo been fortified? When I went
through it on the way to Byblos, it was nothing but a crossroads with
a camel corral and a melon stand. Limes the size of grapes.
Fortified!
| HORUS:
So many of Set's hunting trails go through
it that he decided to secure it, so he can always ride through it at top speed.
| ISIS:
This world gets stranger by the day. Fields wither
and walls grow.
| THOTH:
Let's proceed. So, General, where is
the enemy's weakness, and where are
we going to hit him?
| A stationary SET KHU, in the form of a schematic drawing, descends
into the Space.
It may be rotated, changed in size and color, and made to speak as HORUS
continues.
| HORUS:
In his heart.
| ISIS:
His heart? He
has one? (NEPHTHYS looks away. HORUS nods.) Please
go on.
